Jakarta - Bandung : Pt 3 Hello Jakarta!

The pleasant flight journey took us about 2 and half hours journey to reach Jakarta. The food served was appetizing and the crews were friendly (and good looking), thank you KLM Airways.

We have to spend time in the line for a quite some time. I’m not exactly how long, around 30 – 60 minutes maybe. Long enough until my feet my feet get hurt. I don’t blame my cute blue velvet flats, however. It’s a weekday and only 3 immigration counters are working and to be surprised (and funny), my 10 fingerprints and my picture were taken as well. Oh my..

Later, we were brought to a restaurant called Bukit Randu Bandara to have dinner, or rather supper
Top left, Kangkung Goreng Belacan (Water Spinach).
Top right, Daging Balado. Lots of chilli. Honestly I had no guts to try it. I can't stand the heat.
Bottom left, Sweet and Sour Fish. Not bad but they fried the fish too much until it dried.
Bottom right, Mustard Green with a hint of ginger. I love it.

Overall, the food's taste quite close to our local Malay cuisine. Except the satay's dipping sauce was quite spicy(for me) and too much of lemon-grass.

Jakarta - Bandung : Pt 2 Quick Lunch at Eden, KLIA

I had late lunch before flight at Eden, KLIA. The dim sum served here is the best that I ever had, considering the Halal one. Besides, I love the idea of a having lunch with a view.
Top left, Shark Fin Dim Sum. It tasted good but nothing excited at all except for the expensive price. Shrimp Dim Sum. Oh this is great, fresh and tasty. Trust me you will regret not having it. Fat and crunchy shrimp inside enveloped by a layer of skin that has the just-right thickness.
Chicken feet steamed in soy sauce, ginger, garlic and some other ingredients. This is my favorite too. The other two, I can’t remember their name but it tasted great. I hope that I have my Iftar soon at Eden, KLIA.
Soft and fluffy bun with sweet filling, this is way much better than usual pau. I love the friendly staff and good service. The food was satisfying to have for, soulful and freshly made. Hence, I label Eden as the best dim sum in KL.
Now let’s do the rating.
Eden, KLIA
Food Type: Oriental Cuisine
Price: Slightly on the high side but trust me you will satisfy.
Cleanliness Vote : 4.5/5
Food Vote : 4.3/5
Revisit : Yes, definitely

Iftar Week 1

This is what I had so far for week 1 of Ramadhan. I have to get back my shape since I gained weight recently.
Day 1 - Laksa Penang, I cook the gravy the night before and I forgot all the salads!! Later at 10, I had a vege soup done up with lots of garlic and ginger.
Day 2 - Stir fry chicken with button mushrooms and carrot. Bubur Pulut Hitam for supper. Hey I cook the dishes.
Day 3 - Still strong without rice, but this time I went to bazaar to get something. I had kuih Cara Berlauk, Lepat Pisang (those are my fave) and Roti Tarbus.
Day 4 - Chicken Tortilla with some tomato cherry, and few slices of water melon.
Day 5 - I cook Chicken Soup, some kerabu ( got it from bazaar) and Ikan Pekasam. Plain rice. Hehe
Day 6 - Do some lemmings at bazaar and I had this for Iftar. Haha I ate a lot!
Day 7 - Iftar menu - from Tasik Permaisuri Bazaar.
Till then, Selamat Berpuasa.
